It has been decided. I am going to A-KON as Vampire Princess Miyu. It’s a classic character, and the costume was extremely easy to make.

The supplies cost about $26 and a rainy trip to Hancock Fabric. I used mainly fleece for the white robe and red inner lining for comfort purposes. I considered using cotton, but nothing can compare to the softness of fleece against your skin for the same look. For the pink sash, I opted for a chiffon to achieve a subtle and feminine touch.

The infamous black bow was the most difficult to pull off. I was hoping a thicker satin would suffice, but unfortunately, my bow fell over limply and sad. I had to resort to hanger wires to prop them up. It adds some weight, but the effect will pay off.

I’m very excited about my costume and hope to see many of you out there!

A-KON is happening at the Sheraton Hotel in Dallas May 29-31 anime freaks, video-game addicts, and cosplayers everywhere! Some pertinent information is as follows:
